Media Advisory Attn: Environment, Government, Local Reporters and Editors Canadian Energy Efficiency Alliance releases bi-annual energy efficiency report card The Canadian Energy Efficiency Alliance (CEEA) will release the findings of their bi-annual energy efficiency report card in Edmonton, Alberta on Tuesday, August 19th. CEEA's report card evaluates federal, provincial and territorial governments on their energy efficiency performance on the basis of nine parameters. These include, among others: how the jurisdiction supported energy efficiency and public outreach, the existence of public/private partnerships to support energy efficiency and responsiveness to energy efficiency issues in legislation such as building codes and energy efficiency acts. The Alliance works in partnership with manufacturers, utilities, governments, builders, labour, consumer groups, and environmental organizations to facilitate the adoption of energy efficiency measures in Canada. The Alliance is supported through fees and project contributions from members.
