Media Advisory (April 7, 2014) All-Energy Canada Conference & Exhibition is where renewable energy sector businesses get together to network and secure new projects. Hosted at the Direct Energy Centre and Allsteam Centre, the conference features an exciting stream called Near and Far Markets, where the focus is on international trade. These sessions are designed to provide businesses with information to assist them in building their export potential and establishing international trading partnerships with foreign counterparts, either in importing technology from or investing outwardly to these locations (see below for session details). Regional trade and industry groups will showcase opportunities support mechanisms within their country or region. Bob Rae, Senior Partner, Olthuis Kleer Townshend, Former Premier of Ontario and Interim Federal Leader for the Liberal Party of Canada. He currently assists First Nations communities with issues relating to Northern Ontario’s Ring of Fire. Chief Gordon Planes, Chief of T'Sou-ke Nation in British Columbia. He is working closely with the community to make it a leader in renewable energy, food security, cultural renaissance and economic development. He also serves as a director on the Lands Advisory Board which oversees First Nations land management across Canada. Mike Crawley, President, GDF SUEZ. He was on the Ontario Government's Electricity Conservation and Supply Task Force and was a co-chair of the Renewable Energy Task Team. He currently sits on the Boards of the Association of Power Producers of Ontario and Clean Energy BC. Closing Plenary Gord Miller, Environmental Commissioner of Ontario, an independent officer appointed by the Legislative Assembly of Ontario who reports on the reduction of greenhouse gas, government compliance with the Environmental Bill of Rights and the progress of energy efficiency in Ontario. Colin Andersen, Chief Executive Officer of the Ontario Power Authority. He leads the organization in its efforts to coordinate province-wide conservation initiatives, plan the electricity system for the long term and procure clean supply resources.
