The Water Power Group of Companies LP is an Ontario-based private power producer working in partnership with local communities and First Nations and Metis to develop small, run-of-the river hydro electric generators. The Water Power Group is in the forefront of this revival by refurbishing existing low head flood control dams in Ontario and installing highly efficient turbines using new low head technologies that provides up to 94% efficiency. Along with profitable power rates and long-term contracts with the province under the Green Energy Act, small hydro dams today are proving to be economically viable. By including local private, public and co-operative partnerships in our business model, Water Power Group is finding more effective financing, reducing project cost and risk, and ensuring a higher rate of return on our projects.
