Media Advisory - PHOTO OPPORTUNITY Attention News/City/Energy Reporters and Assignment Editors: (Toronto) Palace Pier residents and Board members will join Ontario's Chief Energy Conservation Officer and industry representatives as the latest in energy efficient LED (Light Emitting Diode) lighting is unveiled at the lakefront condominium. The lighting project will employ close to 1,300 LED based MR16 lamps in the hallways of all 44 residential floors. Made in Ontario and supplied by CRS Electronics of Welland, the new LEDs will only require 4 watts to operate. The LED lighting will result in an 89% saving in lighting costs.
