(February 25 2014, Toronto, CANADA) The All-Energy Canada organizers are delighted to announce that Dr. Woodrow (Woody) W. Clark II will make a strategic Canadian appearance as the Keynote speaker on April 9th, 2014. All-Energy Canada is modeled after the UK’s largest annual renewable energy and energy efficiency event held in Aberdeen, Scotland for over a decade. All-Energy Canada will be held April 9th and 10th, 2014 at the Allstream Centre and Direct Energy Centre in Toronto, Ontario. A noted lecturer and senior advisor to governments worldwide, Dr. Woodrow Clark was one of the contributing scientists to the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (UNIPCC), which as an organization was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in December 2007 along with Al Gore and his film An Inconvenient Truth. Dr. Clark was the first Research Director for the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change which is celebrated for establishing the economic and technical basis for “environmentally sound energy technologies to be commercialized in developing nations”. He was the Manager of Technology Commercialization at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in the 1990s. In 1999, he became a Visiting Professor at Aalborg University in Denmark where he was a Fulbright Fellow in the early 1990s when he was asked in late 2000 by California Governor Gray Davis to be his Special Advisor on Renewable Energy, Emerging Technologies and Finance due to the energy crisis. Dr. Clark is the author of eight books and more than 50 peer-reviewed articles focused on the economics and politics of global sustainable communities. His latest book, Global Sustainable Communities Handbook will be released by Elsevier Press just prior to his All-Energy Canada appearance. Later in 2014, The Green Industrial Revolution (co-authored with Grant Cooke) will be published by Elsevier Press in both English and Mandarin. “We are very pleased to have Dr. Clark as our keynote speaker,” said Jonathan Heastie, Exhibition Director at Reed Exhibitions. “His work and counsel is tremendously well-respected globally. His message is both practical and visionary. He will outline to attendees, paths forward suitable for businesses and investors, citizens and governments of all levels.” In addition to Dr. Clarke's appearance, the two day All-Energy Canada agenda features leading renewable energy sector speakers from around the world. There is also a free-to-attend trade show with many Canadian and overseas exhibitors in the Green Energy and Green Technology industry. Collaborating with Reed Exhibitions are Ontario Sustainable Energy Association (OSEA) and Canadian Solar Industry Association (CanSIA). For more details, visit http://www.all-energy.ca.
