Chief Energy Conservation Officer of Ontario to open Regional Science Fair in Timmins

(Timmins, Ontario) Peter Love, Chief Energy Conservation Officer of Ontario, will join representatives from the City of Timmins, local school boards, and teachers and students from across North Eastern Ontario to open the 2007 Regional Science Fair. The kick-off takes place at École Secondaire Catholique Thériault on Thursday, March 29, 2007 at 6 PM. The Regional Science Fair is an annual event that brings together over 250 of the best and brightest Grade 7 to 12 Science students of North Eastern Ontario. It is part of Science and Technology Week (March 26 to 30) which is themed Taking Care of Our Earth, in conjunction with International Polar Year. Mr. Love will join Patricia Morin, Chief Zoologist at the Cochrane Polar Bear Habitat, at the official opening. He will talk about creating a culture of conservation in Ontario and the relationship between energy efficiency and climate change.
