Chief Energy Conservation Officer recognizes greenest restaurant

Media Advisory: Ontario’s Chief Energy Conservation Officer, Peter Love, will present Fall River Restaurant with a Certificate of Recognition for Energy Conservation. The restaurant was named the greenest restaurant in Canada by the Ottawa Citizen after owners Paul and Michele Zammit renovated the restaurant. The restaurant now incorporates a range of energy saving features such as capturing kitchen heat to preheat hot water, burning used vegetable oil for space heating and using straw bales for insulation. Energy Efficient lights (LED and CFL) were installed throughout the restaurant while energy efficient fridge and freezer compressors also help save electricity.
