Ontario Nature sees the dropping of "nature" words from Oxford Junior Dictionary as an important indicator of the devaluation of environmental education
Who - Caroline Schultz, Executive Director of Ontario Nature (a network of over 140 conservation and naturalist clubs across Ontario)
Caroline is well qualified to comment on the recent action by the Oxford Dictionary to delete many "nature" words (such as kingfisher, otter, heron and acorn). She is a scientist, mother of two children, and a passionate advocate for instilling knowledge of nature in Ontarians both young and old.
Caroline can answer questions on:
