MFTIP workshop at Kew Beach United Church to help residents with forested properties reduce property taxes up to 75%

Managed forests are worth some cash! (Toronto, ON) The Ontario Forestry Association is hosting a free workshop at Kew Beach United Church on November 9th from 6:00 to 8:00pm. The 2006 province-wide, 15 location tour has already been attended by more than 600 people. Landowners with more than 10 acres of forested property in Ontario should attend the workshop to learn how to qualify for the 75% property tax reduction. This workshop, sponsored by the Trees Ontario Foundation, will also show you how to set objectives for your property, prepare a forest stewardship plan, and identify local resources to assist you in achieving your management goals. Space is limited and pre-registration is recommended.
