Launches geographically zoned distribution for environmentally motivated households (January 18, 2008) Our Green Home (OGH) is a quarterly publication developed to inform Ontario homeowners about green products, services and practices that will make their homes healthier and reduce their environmental impact. Our Green Home is a joint venture of the Green Group and Metroland Media Group. The first issue of OGH distributed through the Metroland Media Group of newspapers last fall, was met with a positive response from advertisers and readers. The 2008 publishing schedule includes two editions (winter and spring) with circulation of 650,000 copies broken down between 8 geographic zones and two provincial editions (summer and fall) with circulation of 1.9 million copies. OGH editor Don Huff, with decades of involvement with Ontario environmental issues from Kenora to Cornwall is drawing on his depth of experience with the leaders in the environmental and conservation community to develop content. The winter edition will be 16 pages with plans to expand to 24 pages in spring. The distribution will target information useful for any Ontario householder with an interest in the environment. Our Green Home is delivered to neighbourhoods of homes averaging over 10 years of age with combined family incomes over $80,000.
