TORONTO RESIDENTS SEND HOTSPOTS TO ONETORONTO.CA
Toronto, July 21 - Volunteers with OneToronto.ca were out again various neighbourhoods to clean up dozens of so called "hot spots" around the city.
George Smitherman, MPP for Toronto Centre, joined residents in clean ups at Carlton Street east of Church Street, Yonge Street north of Bloor Street, and the Queen Street and Sherbourne Street intersection. Community members and staff with Toronto East General Hospital also led a clean up the Coxwell and Danforth area.
Residents from across Toronto continue to actively use the OneToronto.ca website to offer their support and provide hotspot areas of trash and litter. The Queen Street and Sherbourne Street hotspot was posted by an area resident on the OnToronto.ca website and is a prime example of citizens working together.
The OneToronto.ca initiative is a grassroots movement of Toronto residents who are showing pride in their city by taking positive action to keep Toronto beautiful.
