Environmental Commissioner of Ontario to release Volume 1 of annual Energy Conservation Progress Report Tuesday May 30 - Media accreditation available

Environmental Commissioner of Ontario examines connection between energy and water in annual energy conservation progress report
Environmental Commissioner of Ontario, Dianne Saxe, will release volume one of her annual energy conservation progress report. The report reviews the major energy, climate, environmental and financial impacts of Ontario’s municipal water and wastewater systems. This volume features recommendations about what the province, municipalities and Ontarians can do to reduce these impacts, while maintaining protection for the environment and human health. Other topics covered include: • energy recovery from wastewater; • asset management of water infrastructure; • phosphorus treatment; • water reuse; and • conservation. When: Tuesday, May 30, 2017 12:30 p.m. Where: Media Studio, Legislative Building Room 149, Queen's Park, Toronto, ON The Report and Media Release will be online at eco.on.ca coincident with the media conference start. Note: To attend the media conference, one-time media accreditation is required from the Legislative Assembly.
