Environmental Commissioner of Ontario examines connection between energy and water in annual energy conservation progress report
Environmental Commissioner of Ontario, Dianne Saxe, will release volume one of her annual energy conservation progress report. The report reviews the major energy, climate, environmental and financial impacts of Ontario’s municipal water and wastewater systems.
This volume features recommendations about what the province, municipalities and Ontarians can do to reduce these impacts, while maintaining protection for the environment and human health.
Other topics covered include:
• energy recovery from wastewater;
• asset management of water infrastructure;
• phosphorus treatment;
• water reuse; and
• conservation.
When: Tuesday, May 30, 2017 12:30 p.m.
