The ENERGY STARĀ® qualified Discovery Home is designed to help combat climate change by reducing energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions while simultaneously helping homeowners save on their energy bills. Empire Communities will also announce that from this point forward, every new home they build will be ENERGY STAR qualified, demonstrating their company-wide commitment to reduce the impact on the environment by building exclusively energy efficient homes. An ENERGY STAR qualified home is 30 % more energy efficient than a home built to minimum building code requirements and reduces greenhouse gas emissions by up to 3 tonnes per year.
