BOMA Toronto Conservation and Demand Management (CDM) Program launches online incentive application and ‘case study’ system (Toronto, Feb 4, 2010) The BOMA CDM Program incentive application process and its overall website experience have been significantly enhanced. All BOMA CDM Program applications for electricity conservation incentives can now be done completely online at www.bomacdm.com – there is no need to leave the website. A component now allows applicants to track the progress and status of their project(s) through the whole process from approvals to payment. A goal of the online improvements is to accelerate, the already speedy incentive payment process. Currently, from application to project approval, the average elapsed time is 9 days. The BOMA CDM website now displays the project profiles complete with financial metrics and environmental benefit details. To generate case studies go to www.bomacdm.com/CaseStudies.aspx and make the appropriate selection from the search fields. Projects containing multiple measures, in addition to what you have selected, are highlighted under the Building Type column. The more than 300 projects approved earlier through the CDM Program, will also have their case study data available on the website. This information will allow owners and managers considering an application to analyze potential retrofit benefits by using the previously collected information as a benchmark. -30- To arrange interviews with R. Wayne Proulx, Program Director of BOMA Toronto CDM, please contact: Don Huff, Environmental Communication Options at 416-972-7404 or huffd(at)ecostrategy.ca The BOMA Toronto CDM Program has been contracted to deliver electricity conservation to the Ontario commercial real estate market as part of the OPA's larger plan to deliver 6300 megawatts of electricity reduction in Ontario from various sources. The available generous incentives, capped at 40% of the eligible projects costs, are for on-peak demand, annual consumption or cooling ton reduction. The Program is designed to maximize participation by the avoidance of both 'process' and 'contractual' complications and the quick delivery of incentive payments.
